The room was buzzing with fashion chat. And some of the city’s most stylish folk revelled in the joy of meeting up again as Opera Lane launched their take on the new season’s collections at the River Lee Hotel in Cork city centre.

Julie Evans, marketing manager for Opera Lane opened the occasion by addressing the trends hitting stores this week:

“It’s a reflection of the times we live in where things are constantly changing,” she said

Retro trends from the Seventies, Eighties, Nineties and Noughties are available, along with new trends too, so navigating the fashion scene can be challenging.

“And this is where our fashion team of Natasha and Breeda can really help.”

Stylist Natasha Crowley presented her take on the key looks for the season, pulling from collections available in Opera Lane stores including River Island, H&M, New Look, NEXT and Office Shoes. There were pops of colour, practical shackets and a bit of glam – ‘cos party season is around the corner.

She was joined by Opera Lane Personal Shopper Breeda O’Connell, who demonstrated the trends on different body shapes, showing the audience how to make styles and trends work for the individual.

From the tall and straight to curvy and petite, the looks were elegantly modelled by Sarah, Ciara, Anna and Hannah of Assets Model Agency.
