Join us in Cork City Centre for the switch on of the Christmas lights by Olympic heroes Paul and Gary O’Donovan. The brothers achieved Ireland’s first ever Olympic medals for rowing in August, when they came home from Rio with their Silver medals.
The countdown to the switch on will begin from approx. 6.00pm with crowds expected to gather early to see the lights switch on across Opera Lane, St.Patrick’s St, Academy St., Oliver Plunkett St., and North Main St. There will be live entertainment from 6.30 pm and there are rumours that Santa Claus himself will be making an appearance too – so you’d better be good!
